I'm Susan Mackert, a licensed clinical social worker based in Albany, New York, offering online therapy to adults anywhere in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida. Most of my clients call me Susie.
Why I do this work
I do this work because I want to help people with their problems and find real solutions, and because everyone deserves someone to talk to who listens and understands. Many of the people I work with have felt misunderstood for a long time.
After a first session, I hope you leave feeling some relief and a little more understood, with things off your chest that you may have been holding in for a long time.
Who I work with
I work with adults who are sensitive, anxious, stressed, or spiritual, and with anyone who's simply going through a rough time. I see individuals only, including elders (65+).
Credentials
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade in the field, licensed in New York (LCSW-R #087953), Massachusetts (LICSW #122736), and Florida (LCSW #SW27465). I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and have been in private practice since 2019. Sessions are fully online for adults located in any of those three states. I also provide clinical supervision to fellow therapists.
